Simplicity yet profound

So for school today,my classmates and I I wee given an assignment.                                                                                                  The assignment was to : Read Christ Object Lessons Chapter 1 and 2  and   ...Spend one  hour in the Forest and return to give a report describing what specifically was observed in nature that spoke of God's Character .

So right after breakfast I started out with my laptop (playing the reading ) looking at the leaves and the grass the trees ..trying to find some profound connection when something caught my ear                                      "So through the creation we are to become acquainted with the Creator. The book of nature is a great lesson book, which in connection with the Scriptures we are to use in teaching others of His character, and guiding lost sheep back to the fold of God. As the works of God are studied, the Holy Spirit flashes conviction into the mind. It is not the conviction that logical reasoning produces; but unless the mind has become too dark to know God, the eye dim to see Him, the ear too dull to hear His voice, a deeper meaning is grasped, and the sublime, spiritual truths of the written word are impressed on the heart.(col 24.1)"

And I thought "is my mind too dark is my eye too dim are my ears too dull ...and He simply told me next                                                                                                                                                                          "In these lessons direct from nature, there is a simplicity and purity that makes them of the highest value."
or in other words "THINK SIMPLE..

After this i stopped over thinking it and desired to not so much look to give a profound report but to see what God wanted to show me something for me to change and to get to know him a little bit more.

I climbed the side of a old mansion and seen the dew and clouds om the mountain across the valley and immediately I was reminded of the Sanctuary where God promised the Israelite to dwell with them and be among them. But it does not end there in the holy place the table of incense symbolizes the prayers mingled with Christ righteousness reaching the very throne of God.   .....he wants cooperation  for God to truly be with us He wants relationship and in every good relationship communication is key ..talking and listening make up a good conversation. Just one, will  just not cut it.

I climbed down and started back to the house and I saw this plant really small sort of like a mini palm tree with little driblets of rain drops all nestled in the center of each leaf almost like a bowl.  It was made to hold and be the house of those little water drops..  Arent we made to house Christ in us? and to show forth his goodness.  just like that plant we were made to receive Christ and be a canvass to show the world who he is.

What a honor what a privilege ....to be IN HIS SERVICE

Nature ....God's second handbook

So i'm growing two basil plants in my window and quite frankly I have been really neglecting them. I started out really good watering them twice a day, giving them plenty of sunshine. ..But I fell off and when I got home yesterday from canvassing they were knocked over. One on the floor the other on my night table. there had been a crazy rain storm and my window was open. I now see the abuse and neglect there pots crusted over, no trace of moisture, their leaves droopy slightly turning color  .. How many times do we as Christians  have these expirences of doing really good and then fall of??? How many times does God have to allow us to be knocked over by Life's storms. just to get our attention??    share your responses.
